Stephen M. Cohen, AIA LEED AP
Managing Director, Field Supervisor
Mr. Cohen is a LEED AP architect with over 20 years design, 10 years project management experience. Mr. Cohen is an experienced construction inspector and technical problem-solver with a track record of saving clients’ time/money through pro-active construction inspections and reports. Mr. Cohen started with UBSL at its founding in 2011. Prior to joining UBSL, Mr. Cohen was a Senior Project Manager for Newmark Knight Frank, Cushman & Wakefield, and the New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation, as well as an architect in private practice.
Steve currently oversees UBSL inspection operations, reviews reports, and plays a key role in ensuring the quality of the work and maintaining a high level of customer service for UBSL’s clients, as well as prospecting for new clients.
Brendan A McCarty
Managing Director, Quality Manager
Mr. McCarty is a construction and real estate professional with over 24 years of experience focusing on project management, establishing architectural and engineering design standards and development of property management policies and procedures. Mr. McCarty joined UBSL in 2016. Prior to joining UBSL, Mr. McCarty worked in project management at an environmental consulting firm, at Turner Construction company, and as a Vice President of Construction & Sustainability for a major New York City owner / developer.
Brendan currently oversees UBSL business operations, client interaction, and general policy and procedures. He also oversees UBSL’s business development and leads the efforts to improve UBSL’s operational efficiency.
Timothy A, John, PE
Senior Director, Operations
Timothy is a graduate of NYU Tandom School of Engineering (formerly Polytechnic University) the second oldest private Engineering University in the nation. Not satisfied with that, he then attended the oldest private engineering university Norwich University in Vermont for his Master’s degree.
Timothy’s professional background is in the heavy construction of massive projects involving numerous disciplines and management of complex situations with multiple moving parts. His Civil/Environmental and Mechanical background as well as his over 12 years in engineering and construction project management gives him a firm foundation for assisting Property Managers and their project teams through the complicated process of inspection and project closeout.
